Bare Steel-cored Aluminum Strand

Brief Introduction:

Steel-cored aluminum strand is reinforced conducting wire with single or multiple layers of aluminum strands stranded outside galvanized steel cores. It is mainly used in power and transmission line industry.

All the single wire of the steel-cored aluminum strand is concentric stranding.
The outermost direction of lay of steel-cored aluminum strand is to the right, and the outermost lay ratio is 10-14.
The inner part is steel "core" and the outer part is wrapped around the steel core by means of stranding of aluminum wires. The steel core mainly plays the role of increasing strength, while the aluminum strand mainly plays the role of transmitting electric energy.
It has the advantages of simple structure, convenient erection and maintenance, low cost, large transmission capacity, good conductivity and high tensile strength.
